I’m an Uncle, Poet, & Wall Street Journal veteran who believes success is about confidence and listening. Enjoying the world through an Uncle’s perspective, I use the right blend of humor, corporate and life experience to encourage people to enjoy responsibility for their personal and professional development!

AN UNCLE???

Yes, our surroundings are compiled with different perspectives inhaling the same information. Every group of people consists of those who have siblings or grew up as an only-child; come from large/small families; impacted by birth order; single/married; parents; aunts; as well as situations, experiences and biases! We see the world according to our last thought…. Yet we cannot see through one another’s eyes, and must therefore be open to learning and respecting alternative concerns.

That’s a perspective and conversation I calmly and confidently get started in audiences of two to 20,000 with my use of humor, original poetry and the power of words as my tools. THEN we can start inhaling.

You can use me to creatively cross-reference and share my life, corporate and non-profit experiences to refresh the value of helping people feel good; seeing life as going from one puzzle to the next… in each of your family, social or business relationships you are a small, medium or large piece of the puzzle. Yet no matter puzzle piece size you see yourself as, without you each puzzle is seen as incomplete. I enjoy helping people see themselves as important pieces of every puzzle. I enjoy helping people see through the eyes of an Uncle.

After my 18 years at The Wall Street Journal, rising from Messenger to Classified Advertising Sales Manager, I started out my speaking business wanting to be the “Muhammad Ali of Motivational Speaking.” I found out he was the “Sporty King of Boxing.” Let’s work together to see who’s the “You” of their industry?

Here, I get to enjoy my good friend from Norway, Harald Ellingsen, introducing me through his eyes… now laughingly to you!

“You are truly a master orator, gifted and talented in bringing to any audience an inspiring and uplifting perspective of personal and professional development and awareness. I enthusiastically recommend your services to any organization looking for an individual who can skillfully incorporate the mission of the organization with the professional and personal goals of the employee.” ~ Linda Battle, Office of Human Resources, Chicago State University
